Memorial Walk Museum

The Memorial Walk Museum is situated within the Bathurst RSL Club complex and is cared for by the Bathurst RSL Sub Branch who sees its role as trustees in the care of donated war time memorabilia on behalf of donors.
The nucleus of the museum was formed in 1977. The problem was that it was only viewed by a few privileged patrons and no one else. To rectify this the club established a non-licensed area between the car park and front reception where a new area was dedicated for a museum in 2000. This became the Memorial Walk Museum and was unveiled by an ex-POW the late Paddy O’Rourke on December 22nd 2000. Since then, many guided tours have been given to members of the public, school children and societies.
The newer museum section at the club’s entrance was established in 2007 and compliments the bronze Boer War soldier statue standing above the main entrance.
Donations to the Museum can be made to Les Anderson in the Sub Branch Office.
